Player Development

This was something that was routinely suspect about Frost because he has “his guys now” etc etc. but I think we’re really starting to see that this staff can absolutely develop talent out of those who stick around *especially* on defense. I’m not even going to list them because basically all of our best players on defense are “frost guys”. But take a guy like Rahmir Johnson, arguably the MVP of the Michigan game. He has been pretty quiet throughout his career but he’s really starting to break out. Cam Jurgens still makes some mistakes here and there but the snapping has gotten manageable and the guy is a monster blocker. O Line is still young but I think they will shape into something formidable next season. We’ve had trouble with WRs forsure but Betts is absolutely on his way to being a record holder at Nebraska. Anyway, I just want to say that I think we can mostly put the “the staff can’t develop talent” cases to rest for now. Not every coach is off the hook and it has taken longer than it should but some of the young guys are really starting to blossom and they’ll be around for a while. I think we’ve also had pretty good stamina in games this year so credit to Zach and his squad.
