Husker Assistant Named one of the Nation’s Top Recruiters

For the second straight year, running backs coach Ryan Held has been named in Rival’s list of the nation’s top 25 recruiters. He helped to pull in a solid class. Nebraska’s 2019 class is ranked in the top 20 nationally by both 247sports and Rivals.

Held was one of the assistant coaches who helped sway Army All-American all purpose back Wandale Robinson away from his home state Kentucky Wildcats, who he had already committed to.

Held also brought in wide receiver Jamie Nance and JUCO running back Dedrick Mills, both rated four stars on Rivals. Held played a hand in landing the Husker’s lone recruit in the second singing period as well, wide receiver Demariyon Houston, who committed Wednesday.

The energetic assistant was a teammate of Frost’s at Nebraska. He was brought over from UCF once Frost departed for NU in 2017.
