Remind me: What does Verduzco bring to the table again?

I was at work the other day and I overheard a conversation between two co-workers, where one was trying to sell the other one diet pills. I have a degree in biology, so when I heard the half-correct, pseudo-science, jargon-y mess of a sales pitch, I turned inward in revulsion. Clearly, the part-time sales person had made money in the past selling garbage to people who don’t know better, or who want something positive so bad, that they will try anything.

Coach Verduzco is a diet pill salesman.

Just watch this interview: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gisOCVuJ-UM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gisOCVuJ-UM). In just a minute into the video, he uses two strategies for manipulating the interviewer: 1) he interrupts her question by saying hi and putting out platitudes, controlling the interview pace and getting her off balance, and 2) instead of answering the question, he goes into a rambling, too much information with jargon speech that fills time but doesn’t really do anything else.

Additionally, we can see the garbage on the field. All of the QB’s we’ve seen under his time have regressed, never made progress, and/or (as of today) have transferred.

Why do we keep this man on staff, when we don’t have a full-time coach for an entire phase of the game (special teams)?

Does anybody have a reason to keep him on staff?
