Rapid Reaction: Frost says Huskers’ prep ‘way better’ following win vs. Purdue | Football

Nebraska coach Scott Frost talks to linebacker Caleb Tannor (2) during Saturday’s game against Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind.

Nebraska head coach Scott Frost said he thinks his team’s preparation this week was “way better” than last time the Huskers came off a win.

NU beat Purdue last weekend and now is in the final stages of preparation for a home game against Minnesota on Saturday.

Frost said he’s seen growth from his team in the last two or three weeks overall in the way it prepares.

* Frost said Nebraska has had somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 positive antigen tests during the season, and all but one or two have been false positives.

* Freshman running back Sevion Morrison is available this week after being held out for a health reason the past two or three games.

Morrison is the only of Nebraska’s young scholarship backs that hasn’t gotten into a game yet this season due to injury and then the health situation. Frost said the Huskers would like to get him in a game at some point if the right situation arises and said the Oklahoma native has “a bright future.”
