Power 5 teams that aren’t ready for the big stage

It’d be great just to move up one group this year: [College Football Playoff Tiers Where All 130 Teams Fit – 2021](https://www.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/32029582/college-football-playoff-tiers-where-all-130-teams-fit-2021)

Thoughts or feelings? I’d like to think that someday we can reasonably expect to be at #5 or higher (realizing that 2 & 3 aren’t really applicable to us or relevant to our playoff hopes).

Edit: Didn’t realize this was behind a paywall. Here is an overview.

1. The usual suspects: Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St., & OK
2. Can they beat Bama?: Georgia & Texas A&M
3. First-time hopefuls: Iowa St., NC (Tar Heels), & Cincinnati
4. Need the 12-team playoff now: Oregon & Notre Dame
5. Blue bloods that need a lot to go right: LSU, Michigan, Penn St., Miami, & USC
6. Stranger things have happened: Indiana, Wisconsin, FL, Washington, Iowa, & Texas
7. Have stranger things happened?: Utah, TCU, Arizona St., OK St., & NC St.
8. Spoiler alert: Northwestern, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, & Auburn
9. So you’re saying there’s a chance…: Louisiana (Ragin’ Cajuns), UCF, & Appalachian St.
10. Power 5 teams that aren’t ready for the big stage: Rutgers, West Virginia, Louisville, UCLA, Mississippi St., Boston College, Arkansas, Colorado, SC, Kansas St., Nebraska, Virginia, Maryland, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Syracuse, Kentucky, Michigan St., Duke, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Cal, Arizona, Oregon St., Texas Tech, Tennessee, Minnesota, Washington St., Purdue, Stanford, Baylor, Florida St., & Missouri.
11. Independents & Group of 5 teams: not listing these out.
