Husker coach target list

First time poster long time lurker. I’ve been putting together a list of possible coaching replacements and their pros and cons. I wanted to get them down on (digital) paper.

1. Nick Saban
Pros: hot name in college coaching, has some experience at a program almost on par with Nebraska, probably doesn’t have to worry about money so we could lowball

Cons: shaky big 10 record, only averages 2 national titles every 5 seasons, doesn’t use many walk-ons, not a “Nebraska” guy.

2. Frank Solich
Pros: Nebraska ties, 90s ties, 80s ties, no career ties

Cons: Awkwaaard, got blown out by Ohio State last time they played, cursed us in 2001

3. Luke Fickell
Pros: everybody seems to want him, was the head coach last time we beat Ohio State, we could pay him more than Cincinnati does

Cons: probably would have kicked our asses last year, from Ohio and we’ve had issues with Ohio natives, might not like getting pounded by OSU

4. Coaching AI developed by UNL computer engineering department
Pros: never have to fire a coach again, really sticks it to those B1G eggheads who think we’re a bunch of dumb hicks, can contemplate game plan without having to worry about dumb things like sleeping, eating, or family

Cons: might be glitchy the first year (might do things like call a QB sneak on first and goal from the 5, or use fast tempo when running the clock is clearly the best move, or call a play action roll out to the QBs left without establishing the run and the QB is throwing poorly), won’t do well with a Gatorade bath, could be a disaster if it becomes sentient and turns on its masters with stratcom just down the road (although some Husker fans might prefer nuclear Holocaust to another terrible season).
