Frosted Flakes: Beaches, Rainforests and Altitude Sickness

Greetings from Colombia! Altitude Sickness sucks!

Altitude sickness. It hits you like a ton of bricks. After spending a month at sea level in different places around the USA, Panama and Colombia, I flew into Bogota yesterday which sits at 8600 feet above sea level. Obviously my body wasn’t prepared and I experienced a terrible headache which put me in bed really early last night. I am feeling better this morning but that is why Frosted Flakes is going up a bit late today. Feel free to share any experiences that you have had with altitude sickness in the comment section.

I enjoyed my 10 days in Northern Colombia. Even though Cartagena was really touristy, I still enjoyed walking inside the city walls in the historical section of the city. Tayrona National Park and Minca were both beautiful and full of nature, wildlife and mountains. Now it’s time to explore more of Central Colombia and the beauty it has to offer. If you have traveled to Colombia, I would love to hear your travel stories below.
