Frost, Riley, and Hope

Back when Riley was coach was a bad time. It got to the point that I did not want to watch the games. In most games, I had no hope that Nebraska would win. To me, it appeared that the team themselves had given up, and there was no hope left for the fans. I thought at the time things could not get any worse.

Now Frost is struggling, and watching the games is even harder to watch. Not because there is less hope, but because there is more hope. The team is so damn so close to winning every game. The fans know it, the players know it, the coaches know it.

The big difference is that the team does not give up. They fight and fight and sometimes push too hard which ends up causing mistakes. I believe that all the team is lacking now is confidence. If they could overnight get the confidence and swagger that repeat championship teams have, then we would win all of the games. This team has proven they can compete with the best, now they just need confidence. The kind of confidence to throw a ball away because you know you will win on the next play.
