Freyhof Set for NCAA Championships

Senior Erika Freyhof is set to compete at the 2021 NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 20 in Tallahassee, Fla. The championships will be raced at Apalachee Regional Park, with the women’s 6K at 9:20 a.m. (CT) and men’s 10K at 10:10 a.m. (CT).

Earning her second career national championship appearance, Freyhof is the only Husker on the women’s side to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Lara Crofford in 2010. The Hamilton, Mich., native earned All-Big Ten honors for the second season in a row after being named All-Big Ten Second Team with a 13th-place finish at the Big Ten Championships this season. Freyhof had a season-best finish of runner-up in the 5K at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite and posted back-to-back third-place performances in the 6K at the Chile Pepper Festival and Bradley Pink Classic this season.
