Four Nebraska softball players were named to an All-Midwest Region team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Thursday. Billie Andrews was named to the all-region first team, Brooke Andrews and Mya Felder received second-team honors while Katelyn Caneda was named to the third team.
Billie Andrews was selected as an all-region performer for the second time in her career, as she was named a third-team All-Midwest Region selection in 2022. Andrews was also named to the All-Big Ten first team this season.
Brooke Andrews earned her first career all-region honor, adding to her impressive junior campaign. A second-team selection, Andrews was also a first-team All-Big Ten honoree.
Mya Felder was selected to the All-Midwest Region second team. This marks Felder’s third consecutive selection to an all-region team. Felder was named to the Big Ten All-Defensive team at the first base position earlier this season.
Katelyn Caneda received her first all-region honor. The freshman from Cerritos, Calif., was named a third-team All-Midwest Region selection. Caneda was also named a first-team All-Big Ten, All-Defensive and All-Freshman team selection this season.
Nebraska has produced 103 all-region honorees in school history, a total that ranks third in the Big Ten.
