First time buying tickets in a while

Due to having young kids, I don’t get out much and haven’t been to a few in a while and am not sure the best way to buy tickets is anymore. When I was a student, I had season tickets. After graduation, I went with my grandfather to a few games a year in the west balcony, but my family didn’t keep them after my grandparents passed.

The last time I went to a game was in 2016 when a friend came down from MN. We were stuck behind a column in West Stadium, which was less than ideal. He’s coming down for the MN game this year, and I want to be a better host than an obstructed view or 90 rows up. Any recommendations?

TLDR: Where do adults pushing 40 who are no longer on a college student shoestring budget but now have WAF to consider buy single game tickets these days?
