Ann Arbor, Mich. – The No. 6 Nebraska men’s gymnastics team had seven athletes qualify for individual finals in the team’s sixth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships on April 6. Illinois claimed first with a score of 413.900. Michigan (408.600), Penn State (406.350), Ohio State (405.600) and Minnesota (405.450) came out on top over the Huskers (404.750). Iowa took last place (398.550). Jake Bonnay led the way for the Big Red, earning the highest vault score of the night with a career-high 14.95. Along with Bonnay, Antonio Castro, Kyle King, Daniel Leal, Josh Martin, Anton Stephenson and Chris Stephenson will also be competing at Individual Finals on Saturday, April 7 at 6 p.m. (CT).

Rotation One
Nebraska started the night off on parallel bars, notching 66.60. Leal and Anton Stephenson paved the way, posting 13.90 each. Chris Stephenson followed behind with 13.30. Griffin Kehler and Andrew Zymball rounded out the Husker scoring with 12.75 each.

Rotation Two
NU moved to high bar, where the team scored 65.90. Bonnay finished on top with 13.65. Kehler added 13.30, while Anton Stephenson and Castro each notched 13.15. King finished out the scoring with 12.65.

Rotation Three
On floor, Nebraska finished with 69.85. Bonnay again finished on top with 14.35. Anton Stephenson and Chris Stephenson each added 14.10, while Kehler and King each added 13.65.

Rotation Four
After a bye, the Huskers scored 66.10 on pommel horse. Castro led the way for Nebraska, posting 14.10. Martin finished with 13.55, while Anton Stephenson finished with 13.40. King and Travis Gollott added 12.70 and 12.35, respectively.

Rotation Five
Nebraska found momentum on rings, posting a team score of 64.15. Alex Magsam came out on top with 13.75. Chris Stephenson and Heath Anderson scored 13.20 and 13.10, respectively. Josh Everitt added 12.25 and Leal rounded out the Husker scoring with 11.85.

Rotation Six
On the last rotation of the night, the Huskers dominated vault, scoring 72.15. Bonnay again finished on top and claimed a share of the vault title with 14.95. King and Anton Stephenson notched 14.70 each. Martin and Connor Adamsick added 13.95 and 13.85, respectively.
