Nebraska To Play Bethune-Cookman on October 27th

Nebraska has finalized an agreement with FCS team Bethune-Cookman for a game on October 27th, a date which originally served as the Husker’s bye week.

“We appreciate the patience of our fans through this process,” Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Moos said. “While there may be some conflicts on what was originally a bye week, we know Memorial Stadium will be packed to watch the Huskers on a fall Saturday.”

Bethune-Cookman will receive 800,000 dollars for their participation in the game. The kickoff time will be announced six to 12 days before the game takes place.

Season ticket holders will receive a new ticket for the game, but the original Akron ticket will not be valid. Fans who purchased tickets for that game will receive a new ticket.

Hailing from Daytona Beach, Florida, Betune-Cookman are 1-2 thus far in 2018. Last season, Betune-Cookman went 6-2 in league play. Their coach, Terry Sims, is in his fourth year with the program.
