Nebraska Football: Mike Riley Signs One-Year Contract Extension, Per Report

The Husker head coach is on contract until 2020, with another year probably coming.

The Omaha World-Herald, in this report, quoted University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds that Nebraska Cornhuskers Head Coach Mike Riley has agreed to a one-year contract extension, going through at least the 2020 season.

The WH, who discussed the contract extension with Bounds, states that there should be a probability that by December, Riley will get another year long extension.

Riley’s contract does not include a significant raise, which means that each year would increase the value of the contract by $100 thousand dollars. When Riley signed his initial deal in 2015, his first year’s salary was $2.7 million dollars. In 2017, that is $2.9 million dollars. That means by 2020, Riley will be earning $3.2 million dollars.
