Nebraska Beats Rutgers 68-61 To Open the Big Ten Tournament

Palmer scored 34 points to lead the Huskers to victory!

Nebraska went on a 15-0 run in the second half to knock Rutgers out of the Big Ten tournament as James Palmer Jr scored 34 points to lead the good guys on to the win.

Our beloved Huskers began the Big Ten tournament with six scholarship players and two walk-ons. Injuries to Isaac Copeland, Thomas Allen, Amir Harris, and a suspension for Nana Akenten assured Nebraska was short-handed.

Nebraska started slow with Thorir Thorbjarnarson making the Huskers’ first field goal at 16:14 , but went on a 9-0 to take the lead 26-25 at halftime. James Palmer Jr finally made a layup just before the break. Palmer was the leading scorer with seven points. in the first despite only one field goal. Isaiah Roby and Palmer were a combined 3 for 17 on field goals in the first half.
