Former Husker standouts Isaiah Roby and James Palmer Jr. wrapped up their professional debuts in the Las Vegas Summer League over the weekend.

Roby, a second-round draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks, played all five games for the Mavericks, averaging 8.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. He led the Mavericks in both rebounding and blocked shots while playing 26.7 minutes per game. Roby helped the Mavericks to a 3-2 record before losing to Minnesota in the quarterfinals. He reached double figures twice, including 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks in a win over Houston. He had at least four rebounds in all five games, and had two games with multiple blocked shots.

Palmer, who signed with the Phoenix Suns for the summer league, helped Phoenix to a 3-1 mark in Las Vegas, as he played a team-high 26.8 minutes per game. The 6-foot-6 guard/forward led the Suns in both scoring (14.0 ppg) and steals (1.5 spg) while also chipping 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.  Palmer led the Suns in scoring twice, including a 23-point point performance against New York, while he also had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists against Memphis. He reached double figures in three of his four games, while he played just 10 minutes in a 30-point win over China.
