Frosted Flakes: Big Ten Baseball Tournament Starts Today

Two Huskers baseball players receive all-conference honors. And don’t kiss cows. Just don’t.

Are any of you headed to Omaha for the Big Ten baseball tournament? Two of our CN writers are going to be there so make sure to bring a Cobby sign and wave at the press box every now and then.

The Huskers play tonight at 9 pm. as the #5 seed (vs #4 Minnesota). The Huskers finished in a three-way tie for third with Minnesota and Illinois but fell to the fifth seed due to series losses to both teams. Pitching depth is always tested for teams that advance very far in the tournament. The Huskers have that for sure, but need the offense to build on the end of season uptick we saw in the final few games for that to matter.

We’re going to be soggy in the northern part of the state today, but everything looks like it will be “go flight” at TD Ameritrade park…until Saturday and Sunday that is. But this is Nebraska. Who knows what the forecast will be by then.
