Future Husker Isabelle Bourne produced five points, nine rebounds and three assists to help Australia advance to the FIBA Women’s Basketball U19 World Cup Championship Game with a 64-55 win over Spain in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.

Bourne, a 6-2 forward from Canberra, Australia, scored all five of her points in the final minute of the first half to help Australia outscore Spain 25-10 in the second quarter. Australia’s second-quarter explosion was crucial in rallying from a 15-8 first-quarter deficit. Bourne hit just 2-of-9 shots from the field, but did knock down a three-pointer to help the No. 7 Gems advance to Sunday’s gold medal game against USA Basketball. The United States battled its way to a 67-59 victory over Belgium in Saturday’s second game.

Sunday’s game between Australia and the United States will tip at 7:20 a.m. (CT) with live coverage on ESPN+.

Through six FIBA U19 World Cup games, Bourne is averaging 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.0 minutes per game for Australia. She has helped the Gems to a 5-1 record in the tournament.
