Baseball Gamethread: Nebraska vs. Baylor Game 2

It’s a beautiful day for baseball in Waco, Texas. The Nebraska Huskers (5-6) will take on the Baylor Bears in the second game of the series. Nebraska rode a hot offense and a nice outing from Matt Waldron last night en route to a 12-4 series opening victory.

Nate Fisher will get his fourth start of the season for the Big Red while Paul Dickens gets the ball for the Bears. Dickens is a big left handed pitcher, standing in at 6-5. He averages between 50-60 pitches per game, and took the loss last weekend against a tough Rice team.

Fisher allowed just two earned runs in his last outing against Sam Houston State in Frisco last weekend. The bullpen was unable to hold the lead, and he earned a no decision. Fisher will need to continue attacking Baylor hitters like Waldron did last night for an effective outing.

Baylor will stream the game live via Facebook.
